The stay started off rocky with a brief and unhelpful front office staff. The room was cramped and stuffy, and there were safety concerns regarding accessible windows. The noise from a nearby bar echoed throughout the night. The hotel's location is a strong point, with many amenities in walking distance.

The room was spacious enough for our family, and it was perfect to bring our pet along. It catered to our needs .
A kid-friendly breakfast option would be great for families too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful; for example, when we asked about the nearest Internet cafe as we needed to check in for our flight home, he instead offered to do it for us. The room had a cool, design-led feel. Also, fab location (especially if you know your way around a bit). around a bit).
There isn't a lift, but the staff did offer to help with bags. Room had rather subdued lighting - great for atmosphere but may not always be practical. Would have been good to have free wifi access for the price.

The location offered easy access to great restaurants, and the staff were helpful. My room was comfortable, though a bit small, and I did encounter slow Wi-Fi. A good experience.

We explored Kings Cross for nightlife and caught a film at Govindas Theatre. The bed was super comfy. But overall, great value for what you get!
It was a bit tiring after a long day out.

The location was perfect and excellent, a 10-15 minute walk from Potts Point.
Unfortunately, there was no elevator.

uber-groovy, but comfortable and faboulous location.
the standard rooms are tight, though well designed. uprading to the end rooms is nice for a longer stay. This is the only hotel in the world where room numbers and floors don't align: memorise with care or you will never get back to your room.

The Kirketon is unbeatable in the combination of quality, comfort, cost and location.
The bathroom tiles and sink were a bit one the worn and chipped side, this did not bother me too much, but to fellow patrons, it could be seen as a bit dull on the side of the cost of the room.

It was just a perfect match for a brief pause in Sydney with extraordinarily good value for money. Had issues with the credit card machine at check-in, but ultimately the stay was fine. Be sure to check your room for any maintenance issues before getting settled.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is in a great, central location but the noise from the street below on a Saturday night was enough to wake us up several times - they could definiltey do with some extra sound proofing. The room was a bit tired looking which was surprising considering the high room rate - we had a broken light fitting and a missing fixture on a wall panel which both should have been repaired. The facilities were very basic.
